The site consists of 3 no. public buildings, being the Reception building and the WC’s/Shower building. There are almost 70. Static caravans positioned within the site and 28 no. sites for camping. The caravan site is located on the West side of the town of Dunbar. Access to the site is gained off the North side of Edinburgh Road, with signage provided at entrance.

The Reception building is a single storey building of timber construction with a pitched roof. The building contains the reception area and 24hr access public telephone. Access to the reception area and public telephone is disabled user friendly with an access ramp provided. Staff are available at reception to assist upon request.

There is a small shop on the Park, the Reception building stocks a selection of cold drinks, sweets, ice creams, camping equipment and local produce at time in the season. The nearby convenience store in West Barns (within one mile) has a wider selection, and there are two well-known supermarkets within three miles of the Park.

The Shower and WC’s buildings are both single storey buildings of timber construction with pitched roofs containing Unisex WC’s/showers, laundrette, kitchen and disabled toilet/shower, also a touring chemical disposal point. Level access is available to laundry/kitchen and disabled WC facilities. The disabled WC is spacious with grip rails provided and a level internal access to the shower area.

One of our Caravan Holiday Homes is positioned within 50m of the Reception Block and has been designed to aid a disabled person. Facilities included are; ramped access to the entrance door, larger internal door openings to allow free access for a wheelchair user and a larger WC/bathroom wet-room style area.

The site area is fairly level with tarmac access roads, lighting and signage.

The local taxi companies, based in Dunbar, have the facilities to accommodate wheelchair users. Please advise them of your needs when booking.

There is a regular bus service from Dunbar town centre to the front entrance of Belhaven Bay Caravan and Camping Park. This service carries on into Scotland’s Capital City of Edinburgh, stopping at some coastal towns and villages on the way.

Bus services vary throughout the year, please ask in reception for a detailed bus timetable. Assistance dogs are welcome on the Park and there is a “dog exercising” area to the rear of the park.

Large print tariff information sheets are available from the park reception area where we can also provide you with a large print brochure.

Induction Loops are available in the Reception Building.

The Park has good coverage on most mobile phone networks.

We take the safety of our customers very seriously and therefore there is a 10mph speed limit throughout the Park with clearly marked speed bumps in several locations. The speed bumps are very gentle and their presence makes the parks safer for everyone.
