Inside the archway at the Mortonhall Stable Courtyard you will find the Stables at Mortonhall –  Bar & Restaurant which offers a wonderful family dining experience coupled with a range of wines, spirits and beers of which the operators show great pride. The sheltered courtyard provides a lovely place to sit in the summer and equally as enjoyable is a drink by the roaring fire in the winter.

We provide clean shower and WC facilities for the use of our touring and camping guests. Some of our facilities enjoy piped music for your added comfort. We strive to provide the best facilities for our guests and with that said we are continually upgrading. New Super WC & Shower Amenity Building for 2024 with fabulous campers kitchen, wash-up and dining area.

The shop is well stocked, particularly during the main season. Fresh sandwiches, snacks, sweets and ice cream are available and along with your daily essentials. Offering a selection of beers, wines and spirits. A great stop to top up on your BBQ food and condiments. Caravan and camping essentials, toys and gifts also available.

The bus service from the park to the city is simply brilliant. A short walk from the park entrance to the bus stop and then a short ride into Scotland’s capital. You can buy your bus ticket at reception and that will save you time when boarding the bus.

You can hire fresh clean sleeping bags and pillows for your wigwam. There is a charge for this service and this can be arranged through our reception.

We have a cracking Nordic BBQ hut for hire and it seats 12 persons. Whatever the weather, use it for a family celebration or your group lunch. Bring our own food and drink. An outside picnic bench is also provided. Book four wigwams and get the use of the BBQ hut free of charge. It is recommended that you book before your arrival.

There is an extensive play area at the park full of exciting play equipment. Climb to the top of the tower and wave to everyone. Our play equipment is suitable for a range of ages and the trim trail  is always popular as is the basket swing.

We provide covered external dishwashing facilities for our touring and camping guests and the area is serviced frequently throughout the day.

A well-equipped modern room is provided with steam irons and the latest technology in efficient launderette washing machines and dryers. Our washing machines are coin operated. Large sinks are also provided for hand washing. Soap powder can be purchased at reception.

The games room is equipped with pool table, fun fruit machines and video games. The penny fountain and toy grabber machines are fun and very popular with families.

We have disposal points for both manual chemical disposal and motor vehicle disposal. Our manual disposal point is covered and easily accessed. We use industry standard designed equipment.

Internet access is available at reception and Wi-Fi access is provided across the park at a charge. Wi-Fi speed is fit for accessing email and general surfing it is not guaranteed to support streaming services for example You Tube or BBCi player. There is a good 4G signal at the park.

We offer a secure locker service and is popular with touring and camping customers seeking to secure valuables or shopping.

We offer a mobile device charging service for a small charge. Your device will be secured under lock and key while charging. This service can be arranged at our reception.

High definition CCTV recording is active permanently at the park covering high priority areas and is provided for your added piece of mind.

We have a covered bicycle/motorcycle security shelter at the park that has been specifically provided to support our camping customers. We can provide security chains and locks for a small deposit only.

We stock a variety of portable gas types for touring and camping and can exchange your empty for a full. Please make enquires at our reception.

We serve up hot ‘Lavazza’ coffee from reception. We have tried other brands however our customers love the premium taste of Lavazza. Its all good!

We provide recycling facilities across the park. Please may we ask that you do your level best to support us by using our recycling facilities and please involve your children. We support Zero Waste Scotland.

The arboretum is graced with character and ancient trees and is home to many different kinds of birds and wildlife. Go quietly or sit still for a while, and you may see some of the animals & birds.

We provide Easy Access WC and Shower facilities for touring and camping guests. Our Easy Access facilities also provide for baby changing with ease. We have a specially adapted and easy access caravan holiday home for hire. We support respite Scotland.
