‘Lambing Live’ has been a great success with 125 lambs being born so far and we still have over 22 sheep yet to give birth in the Lambing Shed. The shepherds have been keeping a watchful eye over their flock with the Chief Shepherd having a few sleepless nights! We have had various school groups visiting our lambing shed to experience this educational event and each weekday evening over the two weeks we have been open from 8pm to 9pm raising money for Radio Forth’s ‘Cash for Kids’. ‘Lambing Live’ will be taking place until 11th March.
The webcam has also been popular with thousands of views of the lambing shed. Check it out at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/east-links-live-lambing 4300 views so far! The webcam will be kept running after ‘Lambing Live’ has finished and will be placed somewhere in the park so that you can see all that is going on.
Our new play equipment out in the park has been well received the Buccaneer ship, the new sand play area, the trim trail and the Super Rope Swinger have been a great success with all ages.
A new batch of Lohman Brown point-of-lay chickens has just arrived! Ask about keeping chickens when you visit the farm. The incubator is now warmed up, we have started incubating our own eggs and have chicks hatching in March.
See you all soon,
Grant
